Quote of the Day-

When it was raining so hard yesterday, Brendon ran out to the porch and yelled, "There's great big juicy raindrops now!" He is so excited and happy about so many ordinary things! I love having him and his wonderful attitude in my life.

Look At The Size of These Chicks!

Okay. It is so time to get these cute little chickens out to their own place. They are really growing fast! The kids still really enjoy holding them and playing with them. It is fun to watch them. One of the fun things about having them in the house is the constant peeping or chirping or whatever it is. I kind of like the happiness of the sound. They sure create a lot of dust though. They are sort of dumb. They always kick pine shavings into their water and tip their food over. How do they think they are going to eat and drink if their food is gone and the wood shavings have soaked up all their water. I guess chickens do naturally pick at the ground to eat, so at least they won't starve. Who knew my kids best friends would be chickens? Okay-so they do have human friends too, but they have lots of fun with the poultry too.

5/4/2008 Nathan's 1st B-Day

Nathan is ONE!! This first year has flown by. It has been so much fun to have him here. I don't know if anyone is more loved than he is by his big brother and sisters. They are so good to him. He is so happy. He doesn't eat really well, but hey- think of all the money he saves us in food. He did like his birthday cake though. We had a fun birthday party with some family members. I love it when everybody comes out. Thanks for all the new toys everyone! He was bored with his old ones- he has been sooo busy since the arrival of all the new stuff!
